Albert Vardanyan, born on July 24, 1948, is a master of Armenian woodwind instruments – duduk, zurna, and shvi. He is also an accomplished singer, composer, songwriter and plays a half a dozen other instruments. Including the piano, clarinet, accordion, and saxophone. After graduating Komits Music Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia. He taught Duduk and Shvi at Romanos Melikian in Yerevan and the Music College in Echmiadzin.
Albert is a member of Professional Musicians of America and has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career. Albert Vardanyan has also produced, composed and performed music for dozens of Hollywood movie and series soundtracks, including such blockbusters as Ronin, Accidental Spy, and Maximum Risk, as well as popular Disney series, such as Xena and Hercules. He currently continues to teach and perform music as well as make hand crafted mouth pieces (reeds) for duduk and zurna.
